We are excited to announce our sponsorship of the Petersfield Theatre Group.
Since 2008, the Petersfield Theatre Group (PTG) have been putting on exceptional productions that draw crowds from Petersfield and beyond.
As an amateur theatre group, every PTG show is entirely self-produced, from the acting and singing through to the set design. In previous years, the group have performed a number of musical favourites, including The Wizard of Oz, Little Shop of Horrors and The Addams Family.
Not only do we share a locale with the PTG – our office is just a stone’s throw from Petersfield Festival Hall – but we also share a love of stories.
We deal with a different kind of story at Stanhope, and, while they don’t take place in front of an audience, they are stories all the same. The story of finding a forever home, of keeping a family legacy alive, of saying ‘yes.’
As a high-value insurance broker, take it from us: stories are valuable. Unlike a prized art piece or luxury watch, a story can’t be touched – but it can touch us, and we think that’s worth protecting.
That’s why we’re thrilled to support the talented Petersfield Theatre Group as they continue to tell the nation’s most beloved stories on stage.
2025 Performances
“If only we had…” 11th – 14th June
A tribute to all the musicals we want to perform but can’t for a variety of reasons. From shows we’re much too old for to musicals like Wicked that aren’t available to amateur groups, we’ll take you through all the songs we’d love to sing if only we had the chance. Come and enjoy a fabulous evening of musical theatre classics that you wouldn’t otherwise get to hear us perform!
Guys and Dolls – 26th – 29th November
Follows the intertwining stories of a gambler, Nathan Detroit, and his long-time fiancée, Miss Adelaide, and a high-rolling gambler, Sky Masterson, who falls for a missionary, Sarah Brown, all set against the backdrop of 1950s New York and the pursuit of love and redemption.
